Oxtail Soup

Its the same recipe as my Oxtail stew except that I ran out of potato.. so it was a soup instead... Edna was fighting to have her share! she knows whats good stuff!

Oxtail soup

I used up the remaining of the carrot, celery which I bought to make some stock for her the other day in this soup. Stock is a treat for her since usually her porridge is cook with just water. I dont believe in giving her tasty soup.. what happen if she decides she only want tasty stuff??

Spaghetti with Zucchini

The fridge was near empty and I was starving... So I stole Edna's grocery as usual. she had her zucchini in her porridge yesterday and she cant fin the whole veg herself... makes sense that i eat it up! The mushroom are part of her food list too not forgetting the bell pepper. Only the bacon belongs to me! =D

I simmered the zucchini for quite a while and pour in cooking sake to get some sauce for the dish... totally heavenly!

Old Cucumber Soup

Its a home alone day again with a toddler... I cant think of anything to cook to feed myself. Decided that a pot of soup will be good... I can cook porridge with it for Edna, feed myself... and the hubby can have soup when he is back from school at night....

Same old method of cooking... Edna managed to have pork ribs for her lunch n dinner! and she absolutely love it. For a 13 month old toddler, its truely amazing how she can eat pork ribs! I must say I cooked the ribs till its super soft(off the bones kind).

Fun to see her smack lips after eating =D Thats my girl!

Mentaiko Prawn Pasta

Isetan supermarket had became our new hang out ever since edna started school. After class I usually feed her lunch and shop around after that. Before we go home we will pop by Isetan. For her to look at toys then to the supermart. I love to do grocery there since you can buy loads of stuff which an usual supermart do not offer.

I saw the mentaiko at the sashimi counter. Its a kind of fish roe, marinated to be spicy n slight saltish. I have eaten mentaiko lobster pasta, mentaiko tofu in the restaurants and love it... So I cant help but buy a pack of it. It doesnt come cheap.. cost about $14 for 4 small sac of roe...

I bought some tiger prawns as well.
Butterfly-ed them and stuff them with a mixture of the mentaiko and cheese. Pop them into the toaster to grill till cook and serve with the pasta that I had whipped up... quick n easy... no mess!!!

Citrus Butter Cake

Yet another play date at my place. Today we got Juen, Timmy and Kaelem over! Of cos they cant eat this.. its for the mummies!
Gina ate quite a bit... So I think its must be really good =D

Its not too oily, but soft and fluffy. I allowed Edna to eat a lil since she need to learn how to eat our food soon since she is more than 13 months now.

I baked in a too big a pan.. so it gotten quite low.. but its still yummy.

Best eaten over night!
